The America's Sweethearts Program (ASP)

The concept of America's Sweethearts is one that I batted around for the better part of a year.  When the thought first occurred to me, I was a fledgling in the photographic world and unsure that OpLove would accept me into their program, so I concocted a program of my own to give back to those all-too-deserving wedded couples in the military community.  In the midst of my planning, I was accepted into the OpLove organization, and ASP was put on the back burner while I did my part during a Christmas season chock full of re-deployments and mid-term leaves.

There was, however, always a pull toward couples for me.  Homecomings are high energy, with countless emotions swelling and spilling out across a field of soldiers and their loved ones.  They are breathtaking and awe-inspiring, but they are not calm.  And, despite being spectacular displays, they are not truly telling of a couple's closeness.  The warmth, comfort and joy that emanates from a couple that is removed from the lights and music is wonderful to behold.  It is the kind of love that is patient and wise beyond years, and ASP is my means of capturing it and showing the world just how incredibly strong the bond between a soldier and their spouse can be.

ASP is an opportunity to tell your unique love story.  Once a month, Megan Aisha Photography will choose a married couple at random for a free photography session.  The session will take place at the winner's location of choice, and a pre-consultation will ensure that the session is a fully customized experience.  The couple will be asked several questions during the pre-consultation interview, and the answers will be featured on the blog alongside the images.

For the time being, this service is only available to the Fort Bliss/greater El Paso area.

The Goods:

Couples selected for ASP will receive over $350 worth of products and services, absolutely free.

This includes:

*Pre-session consultation
*30 minute on-location session
*Gallery of 10-15 downloadable web-optimized images
*(1) 11x14 mounted print of the couple's favorite image

How To Enter:

Entering is simple.  At the beginning of every month, I will make a blog post to indicate the opening of the program.  Any and all interested parties will then have 48 hours to comment with their name and e-mail.  Spouses may provide a separate entry, but there may not be more than two entries per household.

Rules and Regulations:

*All entrants must be 18 or older to participate.

*Entrants must be in the greater El Paso area to participate.






*Must be military affiliated.  
*Couples who have participated in a registered OpLove session with any photography business within 12 months are not eligible.

*Couples can be selected one time only for the ASP.  Megan Aisha Photography reserves the right to remove the entries of and/or refuse to participate in an ASP session with prior winners.  This is to ensure the fairness of the program.  I want to reach as many wonderful couples as possible.

*Winners must be willing and able to provide military identification at the time of their session.

*Winners must be willing to schedule and shoot a session in the month that they are chosen as winners. (A June winner must have their session shot before the end of June)

*Military uniform is not required.

*Entries will be processed through Random.org to choose the winner.  The winner will be announced on the blog and will be notified privately.  Once notified, the winner has 72 hours to respond.  In the event that the winner does not respond, another name will be drawn.
